Mr. Burbach has 23 years of experience in the field of air permitting and compliance. He originally worked for 3 years at Georgia’s Air Protection Branch writing air permits and initiating enforcement action for a variety of companies, including power generation, mineral processing, and shipbuilding. After leaving the state, Mr. Burbach joined an Atlanta-based environmental consulting firm, where he prepared air permit applications and assisted a variety of clients with the development of air permitting strategies. He has worked as a consultant for the remaining time, providing high-level air permitting expertise to a variety of industrial clients and, at one point, supervising a group of air permitting engineers in Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi. His expertise is in the area of PSD and Title V permit application preparation and enforcement negotiations. He has developed considerable experience in metallurgical industries, such as steel making, lead smelting, aluminum recycling, and copper rod manufacturing.
